The SkyBus Avalon City Express offers direct services to Southern Cross Station in the CBD, with a stop in Werribee. The journey takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and tickets can be purchased online, via the SkyBus app, or at airport kiosks. Alternatively, taxis and rideshare services are available, providing a more direct route to the city in approximately 45 minutes, though at a higher cost.

Public Transport
Melbourne’s public transport network is extensive and well-connected, including trains, trams, and buses operated by Public Transport Victoria (PTV). The iconic tram network is the largest in the world, with a Free Tram Zone covering much of the CBD. To travel outside this zone or use other services, you’ll need a myki card, which can be purchased and topped up at train stations, retail outlets, and online. Timetables, route information, and journey planning tools are available via the PTV website and mobile app, or at staffed stations and information centers. 

Taxi
Avalon Airport is located about 20–30 minutes from Novotel Geelong by taxi or rideshare, with fares typically ranging from $45 to $55. A more affordable option is the airport shuttle service, which costs around $17 and drops you close to the hotel.
