Getting there

Airport
Avalon Airport is located approximately 55 km southwest of Melbourne's city centre. The SkyBus Avalon City Express offers direct services to Southern Cross Station in the CBD, with a stop in Werribee. The journey takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and tickets can be purchased online, via the SkyBus app, or at airport kiosks. Alternatively, taxis and rideshare services are available, providing a more direct route to the city in approximately 45 minutes, though at a higher cost.

Public Transport
Melbourne’s public transport network is extensive and well-connected, including trains, trams, and buses operated by Public Transport Victoria (PTV). The iconic tram network is the largest in the world, with a Free Tram Zone covering much of the CBD. To travel outside this zone or use other services, you’ll need a myki card, which can be purchased and topped up at train stations, retail outlets, and online. Timetables, route information, and journey planning tools are available via the PTV website and mobile app, or at staffed stations and information centers. 

Taxi
Avalon Airport is located about 20–30 minutes from Novotel Geelong by taxi or rideshare, with fares typically ranging from $45 to $55. A more affordable option is the airport shuttle service, which costs around $17 and drops you close to the hotel. Public transport is also available via Lara Station and Geelong Station, but may take up to an hour. For timetables and tickets, visit the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) website.

From Adelaide Airport to Crowne Plaza Adelaide, it’s about a 15-minute drive by taxi or ride-share, costing around $20–$30. Alternatively, you can take the Airport to City bus or tram for a more affordable option, which takes around 25–30 minutes, with a short walk to the hotel from the nearest stop.

Convenient self-parking is adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Adelaide at Auto Park on Frome Street for $25 for 24 hours - 1 time entry and exit only. A multi exit ticket is $39.
